Terms and Conditions for Song7
Last updated: 9 June 2026 · Version 1.0
Welcome to Song7! These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our services and websites ("Services"). By using Song7, you agree to these Terms, so please read them carefully.
Who we are
The Services are provided by Song7 ApS, company registration (CVR) no. 45431762, Denmark ("we", "us", "our"). You can contact us at service@song7.io.
Acceptance of Terms
By using the Services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. To create an account you must be at least 13 years old (the minimum age for consenting to online services in Denmark). If you are under 18, you need a parent's or guardian's permission to use the Services, and a paid subscription must be entered into by a person or organization legally capable of entering into a binding agreement. If you use the Services on behalf of an organization (such as a church or worship community), you confirm that you have the authority to enter into this agreement on its behalf. In that case, "you" and "your" refer to the organization.
Viewing shared content (no account required)
Some features let a user share a public link to a "Live" view or songbook so that others can follow the lyrics and content on their own phone or screen. Opening such a shared link does not require an account — it is like visiting an ordinary web page, and there is no age requirement merely to view it. The 13-year minimum applies only to creating an account. All use of the Services, including viewing shared content, is nonetheless subject to these Terms and the Acceptable Use rules. The person who shares a link is responsible for having the necessary rights to the content they make available this way (see Copyright & CCLI below).
Use of the Services
You may only use the Services in accordance with these Terms and applicable law. The Services are provided as a hosted web application (a progressive web app / PWA) — there is no software for you to download or install. We may improve, update, modify, suspend, or discontinue the Services. Where a change is material and adversely affects you, we will aim to give you reasonable notice, and you may cancel your subscription at any time.
Acceptable Use
You must not use the Services to: (a) upload, share, or distribute content that is illegal, infringing, or violates the rights of others; (b) upload harmful code, viruses, or malware; (c) attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts, spaces, or data; (d) scrape, copy, or systematically extract data from the Services without our permission; (e) harass, threaten, or abuse others; or (f) misuse public share links to distribute content you do not have the right to share. We may remove content and suspend accounts that breach these rules.
Your content
When you use Song7, you may upload files, data, and other content to the Services (collectively "your content", excluding your personal information). You retain all rights to your content, and we do not claim ownership. You grant us only the permission necessary to host, store, copy, and display your content for the purpose of providing the Services to you. We use trusted subprocessors (such as cloud providers) for this purpose, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Responsibility for your content, Copyright & CCLI
You are solely responsible for all content you upload, copy between spaces, share, or communicate via the Services. You must ensure you have the necessary rights and licenses. Uploading or sharing copyrighted material without permission is strictly prohibited.
You are responsible for obtaining the appropriate licenses — such as those from CCLI — either for yourself or on behalf of the venue or organization you represent. This obligation applies per space, and also applies when you copy a song to another space or share content publicly via a link. Song7 does not verify your license status.
If you believe content on our platform infringes copyright or other rights, please email service@song7.io with: a description of the infringing content, a link to the content, proof of ownership or authorization to act on the rights holder's behalf, and your contact details. We process notices in accordance with applicable law, including the e-Commerce Directive and the EU Digital Services Act (DSA), and may remove or disable the content and terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
Your indemnity
You agree to indemnify Song7 ApS against any third-party claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable costs (including legal fees) arising from your content or from your use of the Services in breach of these Terms or applicable law — including claims relating to copyright or the absence of a CCLI or other license for content you upload, copy between spaces, or share publicly.
Third-party data & data processing
When you enter information about third parties (such as your team members or their availability) into Song7, you act as the data controller for that information and Song7 acts as a data processor, processing it only on your instructions to provide the Services. These Terms together with our Privacy Policy form the data-processing terms between us under Article 28 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). It is your responsibility to ensure you have a lawful basis to process and share such information.
Security and access
You are responsible for securing your account by keeping your password safe. You must notify us promptly if you detect a security breach or unauthorized use of your account.
Billing, subscriptions, free trial & withdrawal
Paid subscriptions may include a free trial (currently 30 days). Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless canceled beforehand. You may cancel at any time via your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. Prices are shown in DKK, EUR, or USD and are inclusive of any applicable VAT/tax. If you downgrade your plan, team members above your new plan's limit may be automatically disabled. One-time payments (such as "Donate") are non-refundable.
Consumer right of withdrawal: If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you generally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a subscription purchase. Because the Services are digital content/a digital service made available immediately after purchase, we ask for your express consent to begin delivery right away, and you acknowledge that your right of withdrawal is lost once delivery has begun. To exercise a right of withdrawal, or for any billing question, contact us at service@song7.io.
Account ownership transfer
We may assign our rights and obligations under this agreement, including your account and related information, to (a) an affiliated entity, (b) a buyer in connection with a sale of our assets, or (c) a successor in a merger. We will notify you of any such transfer, and your personal data will remain protected in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Termination & account suspension
You can stop using the Services and delete your account at any time via your account settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the Services in a harmful way; except in cases of serious breach, we will aim to give you reasonable notice. Where feasible, we will give you the opportunity to export your data before it is deleted. If your account is suspended, you may appeal by contacting service@song7.io.
Disclaimer
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. You should keep your own copies of important content (you can export your songs at any time).
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Song7, its affiliates, employees, and partners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data, profits, or business. Our total liability to you will under no circumstances exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for willful misconduct or gross negligence, for personal injury or death caused by our negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under mandatory law. If you are a consumer, your mandatory statutory rights apply regardless of the above.
Governing law & jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Danish law. Any disputes will be brought before the courts of Copenhagen, Denmark. However, if you are a consumer, you may always rely on the mandatory protective rules of the law of your country of residence and bring proceedings in the competent courts there, in accordance with EU rules on applicable law and jurisdiction (the Rome I and Brussels I Recast Regulations).
Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms. The latest version will always be available on our website with an updated "Last updated" date. If we make material changes, we will notify you, for example via email. By continuing to use the Services after the effective date, you accept the updated Terms.
General
Severability: If any provision of these Terms is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Force majeure: We are not liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Entire agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy which is incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and us. Third parties: These Terms create no rights for third parties. Notices: Official communications should be sent to service@song7.io.
This document constitutes Song7's terms of use. If you have any questions or are unsure about how these Terms affect you, feel free to contact us.
